Decided to not tag-on another thread. Quick review. My brother and had a car like Reg's. We tied a rope to it and to the saddle horn of our ponies. A pony moves at about 25 mph, so in our little car behind the ponies we were moving and with no steering gear and no brakes! We quickly threw away the rope steering and just used our feet, much faster and surer and we could hang on to the frame.

We found we could not tip the 'car' so we went for the ditches. To stop we discovered that a good sideslide did the trick so we had fun. Frankie, we also used the sled, but the E-Ticket was a good scoup shovel on snow! Didn''t have far to fall. :D

I would guess we were all of about 11 or 12 at the time. Mom closed the blinds and prayed. :) Hope my first car story is not too personal. Like a lot of you, we made our own toys, today's kids aren't getting that thrill. Sad!

I have always envied those of you who built real hot rods and went on the streets. We had too many chores and later spent too much time on the tractor. It was a good life.
