JIPJOBXX Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Well I brought home my new 1960 Thunderbird and all I can say it a beauty. Right now I have it parked under one of my Costco shelters but soon to be in my car port area and the old Dodge is moving into the garage. I really love my old Dodge but this car will enable me to travel in a little bit more comfort (A/C, Radial Tires, big block engine and nice ride). But don't worry my Dodge is still Number one with me and I know it brings on more attention. I really am thankful that my old Dodge project is to the point where I can really use it and not worry about problems coming up. I drove it probably 2000 miles this summer and with not a bit of trouble (except for running out of gas). So here is a picture of the new project (really no project at all) Jon PS. I stole it for $3,000 as the previous owner just didn't have the space to keep it. His sale price was 6700 hundred dollars and he just kept bringing down the price as I picked away at the car. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Looks good in the photo, Jon. It may have a few problems, but looks usable as is for a while. Then you can address things one by one. Yep, ya stole that car and didn't even need a gun. Enjoy your luxury driving. Quote
Normspeed Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 You got a great deal. Very nice looking car. The 352 was a great reliable motor. I'll bet your bird also has the legendary 9" Ford rear end. Quote
JIPJOBXX Posted October 27, 2006 Author Report Posted October 27, 2006 I forgot to make mention that this 60 Thunderbird is exactly like the one we had back in 1968. It was my wife's car before we got married and then it was both of ours. Lots of memories and now we can cruise in this unit and think about the past. (38 years of great marriage!) Quote
Normspeed Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Thank your lucky stars. It don't get much better'n that. Lots of memories and now we can cruise in this unit and think about the past. (38 years of great marriage!) Quote
