The service manual says:

"Remove three screws from the hinge side of the door panel which hold the glass front run channel in place."

Could anyone tell or show me which three screws these are? I need to remove my window as it is cracked.

Thanks!

Brad,

Where your screws are will depend on whether or not ou have wing vents. You didn't mention which type door you have. The front glass guide on my truck - with wing vents - is held into place by screws that are plainly visible once you look inside. One is vertical down from the top, near the back of the wing ven and another is into the inner door skin. My parts book, page 23-12, shows the glass run quite plainly for this type of door.

I have never pulled a door apart that did not have wing vents, but common sense says the glass run will be further front at the end of the door, closer to the hinges. My parts book does not show an illustration for this type door, but someone here on the forum with experience in this door type may chime in here and help you. Sorry I cannot speak to that type as well.

Good luck.

I tried to find some pictures for you, but I didn't have anything usefull. But like Dave said, if you have the solid side window than there is 3 screws down the front edge of the door. Follow down from the front edge of the window opening, in front of the window crank. The 3 screws will be about 10" or so apart.

If you have vent windows the front track is held in differently. There will be two screws down from the top. You'll have to open the vent window and peal up the rubber molding from the lower rear edge. (there's a screw there that holds it down) Or, your rubber molding may have two holes on either side of the molding screw for access to the window track screws. Remove these two screws and two more at the bottom of the track. The two bottom ones are behind the lower removable door panel. One is horizontal and the other one is vertical.

This was awhile ago, but I remember rolling down the window, removing the door panel on the inside of the door, and then taking off 2 spring loaded round clips that allowed the glass and track to removed through the window opening after it was separated from the regulator. Mike
