52cambridge Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 (edited) Just installed new driveshaft with modern u Joints. Total cost $350 from A-1 Drive Shaft Company in Baltimore MD. I dropped my old one off yesterday and got new one 2 hours ago. Runs smooth on jacks stands. Attempted to rebuild old one. Ripped new boot while trying to install. Parts for total rebuild of old shaft were going to be $160-$350. Edited May 19, 2009 by 52cambridge Quote
RobertKB Posted May 19, 2009 Report Posted May 19, 2009 Looks very nice and a good price. Let us know how the car drives when you get around to it. I think a lot of Mopar owners are going to go that route in the years ahead. Quote
52cambridge Posted May 20, 2009 Author Report Posted May 20, 2009 Took it for a spin. Wow! what a difference. So smooth!!! I recommend. Quote
steveplym Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I did mine earlier this winter. Another very good upgrade I did on my car. Plus much easier to maintain and find parts for. Quote

steveplym Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Certified Power in St. Louis, MO. I think it was around $375. Just took my old shaft there and picked up the new one a few days later. It was fresh and new. They even painted it. They were recommended by another forum member and I'm very happy with my decision to convert. Quote
1949 p-15 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I got mine done in Fort Worth Tx. last month for $333.00. Works great. Quote
