gnoub1948 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Well, I really have no old MOPAR car friends except those that I might happen upon here, and, I decided to chronicle the work on my basket case '48 just in case I actually finish this thing and want to remember all the work involved. It Seemed like a blog was a good way to do this, of course until you lose all of your posts which I did. But that was mainly tear down stuff and that's boring anyway so I opted to pass over most of that and just get down to the nitty gritty of cutting and pasting. I've managed to get going on the car again and here's the site should anyone be bored out of their mind and want to see what's happening in the garage at 'Lonesome Road'. http://wrenchhappy.com/wordpress/ Thanks! RobertKB Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 You are a braver man than I. Too much rust and my welding skills are negligible. However, when you are done you will have a beautiful car. I have a friend in my car club who restored a '47 Desoto Club coupe just like your car and it is absolutely gorgeous. I don't have picture of it or I would post it. Good luck with your project. Quote
PatS.... Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Looks like you have quite a project there, Gary. Nice work so far, keep us up to date on your progress. We love pics and never get bored of project pics. See Joe Flanagan's post for a similar project for some encouragement. Joe had no floors in his Mopar either. He has floors now!! Quote
gnoub1948 Posted April 29, 2009 Author Report Posted April 29, 2009 The floor parts concern me, especially around the B pillars. There's not much there to attach too, but that's a ways down the road. Gary Quote
