Anyone need a carb.......

Actually, you could make good money doing that. I see rebuilt carbs for our cars going for about $150 or so at swap meets all the time. Have been about that for several years at the meets from vendors specializing in selling new and rebuilt carbs. Other carbs will go for a lot more. So...that price was a pretty good price if it was rebuilt right.

I know the rebuild kits are cheap, but if someone doesn't want to rebuild it their self, or don't know how, that's the going price. Plus, they'll normally have a warranty on the ones at the swap meets, or stores.

shame on me, i have to admit that i as well paid more than a hundred dollars plus shipping to germany for a D6A1...:o didn't know better then and wasn't on this forum here. besides, parts for my 69 opel were 300% higher, a rebuild carb goes for about 350-500EUR, so i thought "wow, a 70year old NOS carb for 150EUR including shipping and tax, got to buy that!"

now, i know better...

besides, there's a deuce intake from offenhauser with linkage an a single carb on it on the bay, looks nice, but costs 425$... before i do it again, that's too much, isn't it? shop name is O State Diesel, anyone knows them? some parts looks really nice...

Fred, the Offy intake sells for a bit over $200 new, with the linkage kit and fuel line kit included. Try Speed Parts in Paragonah Utah. He's not on the web but I can rustle up a phone number when I get back home next month.

That rebuilt looks like a pretty nice job. Not all that much if you're not into rebuilding them yourself.

that's what i thought, mine was from crown and i mostly bought it because i wanted a good throttle valve shaft. i know it from my opel when they wear out,

you have a lot of fun tuning the carb... phone number would be great, thanks norm!
