Harold M Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Any info on how to run the left side exaust on P15 coupe? How to get by the fuel tank? Quote
1949P17BC Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Mine splits behind the transmission and then runs down both sides. At the back it is on the outside of the leaf springs, looks good and hangs well Quote
47heaven Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Mine splits behind the transmission and then runs down both sides. At the back it is on the outside of the leaf springs, looks good and hangs well Two things I'm curious about: 1) Do you have a diagram showing how you did that? Wouldn't the drive shaft get in the way? 2) I'm assuming you have a 1949 Plymouth. Is the gas tank in the same place as on the P15's? Quote
teardrop puller Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Both my pipes run down the Pass. side. I think it looks great. Everything fits quite nicely. kai Quote
claybill Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 all 3 of my pymouths..run both pipes down pass side and then after gas tank turns and goes to the other side. the original manifold dump outlet goes out driver side. the new dump goes out pass side...allowing for an almost even length for both. bill Quote

bob westphal Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 I ran mine down the passenger side over the cross member to just behind the flywheel cover and ran one over to the left side. I'm using scavenger pipes that run straight back and exit under the rear axle. Quote
