Re-building the L6(books)?

Are there any books or articles on rebuilding the (215-265) L6(Flathead) motor?

I'd also like to find a "How To" on getting the most HP out of these motors.

The article about the Fast Four:cool: , Montana Dodge Boys and Chris King's 32 Chrysler got me thinking about up coming build on my wifes motor.

I have some books on old how to on Hot Rodding chevy's:o but nothing on the L6.

Haven't seem much else in terms of a comprehensive "book" on these engines.

I have a couple of articles I can fax or email you if you contact me via PM. I've not seen a book per se, just bits over the years. I'd be interested in the four part Article you have Pete. My engine building days may be over in any case, the machinist I've used all these years has closed due to the current economy. I don't know of anyone else within a few hundred miles who can do what he did on these old engines. We are all getting on in years and our days are shorter than they were just a few short years ago.

I would like to get hold of any info that is out there.

I dout I will ever get to the salt flats but I would like to build a flat 6 with some more HP.

Cam profiles is something I would really like to get hold of.
