Terry in Bozrah Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Are there any books or articles on rebuilding the (215-265) L6(Flathead) motor? I'd also like to find a "How To" on getting the most HP out of these motors. The article about the Fast Four:cool: , Montana Dodge Boys and Chris King's 32 Chrysler got me thinking about up coming build on my wifes motor. I have some books on old how to on Hot Rodding chevy's:o but nothing on the L6. Thanks Terry Quote
blueskies Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Terry- I have the four part article that was in Auto Restorer some years ago. I can e-mail it to you if you'd like... Haven't seem much else in terms of a comprehensive "book" on these engines. Pete Quote
Fluid drive Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Terry: I have rebuilt MANY chrysler L head engines both sixes and eights. I would be glad to help you "maximize " your engine. You can email me directly if you wish at armorysam@yahoo.com Quote
Olddaddy Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I have a couple of articles I can fax or email you if you contact me via PM. I've not seen a book per se, just bits over the years. I'd be interested in the four part Article you have Pete. My engine building days may be over in any case, the machinist I've used all these years has closed due to the current economy. I don't know of anyone else within a few hundred miles who can do what he did on these old engines. We are all getting on in years and our days are shorter than they were just a few short years ago.
