burdman129 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Lurkers? Ouch, you make it sound so sneaky...LOL. I'm guilty so I'm "checking in". I'm still "working" on my P-15 and would like to get it on the road this spring. I really do appreciated all of the knowledge found on this site and it has helped me a whole bunch. As for myself, I read here everyday and to be honest, get somewhat intimidated by not having much experienced input to offer. Maybe others feel the same way, I dunno. Don't get wrong....it's just that some of you know these cars inside & out, so, I don't risk the chance of sounding stupid. Anymore "Lurkers" out there that want to check in? Burd Quote
Allan Faust Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Burd, Any ideas can be good ideas... just have to mention them... if they aren't mentioned, people may not think of them.... as for them sounding stupid, don't worry about it.... I sound stupid all the time (and noone has complained yet....) the more idjits that can join me in being stupid, the better..... but I'm still learning.... Allan Quote
RobertKB Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Everybody gets help on this forum, even some of the guys who have been around forever and know lots. There is always something that you need help with. Even if you've disassembeld and reassembled your car there are still questions you can have that you can't figure out once the car is running and that is when someone will help you. Best way to be involved is just that - ask questions whenever you have them and someone will be pleased to help, usually lots of someones. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Right......don't worry about being an expert. I'm certainly not an expert in either body work or mechanics....and have learned a lot about the P15s, even though I have owned the car since 1973. There are many things I never had considered or even thought about. Perhaps you might be versed in even one aspect about these cars....say you know about starters or carbureators or brakes....or had a certain experience with something......there is always room for additional input or thoughts, as these topics keep coming up along the way with the advent of new participants joining in. Guest rockabillybassman Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Welcome Burd. The only stupid questions are the ones not asked. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 Maybe we could call them "spectators". Quote
