they_call_me_tred Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 hey all, my name is tred and i live in las vegas. among my other cars, i have a '50 plymouth roadster, a p-20. it's got the stock 218 with an vintage edmunds dualcarb intakr and a true dual exhaust. i am currently bagging the rear on it and will eventually finish the interior in white, make a convertible boot with all the snaps on the body so it looks like a true convertible, cut the windshield and re-install it, and paint it. i guess i'm here to shake things up a bit with a p-20 unlike any you've probably seen before. i have a few questions, and hopefully i can answer a few of yours. if any of you guys ever find yourself in vegas, let me know and we can go grab a beer or take a trip out to the local yards or whatever. thank you. tred. Dennis Hemingway Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 tred, Welcome to the FORUM. I'll be at the new Kids Rule in Vegas this Saturday for our grandson's 5th birthday, so our time will be spent with him on this trip. Our son and his family live in Vegas in the area of the 95 & Cheyenne. We should be back in November. We live just 2 hours away in Barstow. Dennis:cool: Quote

they_call_me_tred Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 oof! puh-leez don't call it a rat rod. yuk! it's in primer, but it's far from ratty. ha ha aha! ...and by "shake things up" i mean offer another perspective on early mopar. no roof, no windshield, no hood, runnin' straight pipes, you get the point. i have a nice '51 chevy with a 454 big block that i actually wash and keep clean, the plymouth isn't supposed to be like that. i drive it everywhere and park it anywhere. no worries. i will be at/near that rockabilly rave thing, so mackster, you and i should get together then... and blueskies, you are more than welcome to even drive the plymouth if you want to. if you need to be picked up at the airport, or need to hang out and grab a beer or three, or need a crappy tour guide, let me know, i'm your go-to guy! All of my wifes family has lived in Vegas since the dawn of time... We usually drive down from Idaho, it is less expensive and actually faster than flying by the time we get from our house to theirs... I should be there for Thanksgiving this year so I'll look you up when I know for sure what our plans are. Pete Quote
