Normspeed Posted August 29, 2008 Author Report Posted August 29, 2008 Yup, the Bronco was ready for CA renewal and needed a smog check so I wanted to get that one switched ASAP. Been raining a lot here for the past couple months, so the private lake is only temporary. Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 or body slamming each other in front of the TV. I should know better than to ask, but:confused: Quote

Grandadeo Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 How are the storms treating you Lee????? Thanks for asking Mackster. At the moment, a whole lot better than the folks on the gulf. But we do have Hannah that looks like she is coming up Florida's east coast with potential land fall around the GA/SC state line. Hard to tell at this point how much we'll get from her. If she does stay out to sea going up the coast we'll be on the lighter side of the wind and rain. We can only hope that's the way it plays out. My wife and I were planning a trip to Seattle the end of the month. That is now cancel in favor of going up in the NC mountains and being able to get home in a hurry if another storm heads our way. The fun of living in Paradise. Lee Quote
Grandadeo Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Based on an email from Normspeed, He planned on being back on the road to El Lay yesterday morning. So he should be poping up on here any time now. Hope you had a good first trip Norm. Lee Quote
Normspeed Posted September 3, 2008 Author Report Posted September 3, 2008 Yup, got in last night. It's a long drive, nearly 700 miles, but real comfortable in my son's F150, towing an 8 X 12 flatbed. Nice change from my Bronco. How nice to have a truck that goes in a straight line. Here's a pic of me "mowing the lawn" at my son' house. Also the local car club where I'm moving. They had their first annual Harvest Festival, motorcycle run and car show last weekend but it was rainy and only a few brave souls showed up. Check the bottom line on the flyer for the rules on the festival. The Chevy sedan is a second owner car, originally owned by a lady up in Bisbee AZ, a mining town south of Tombstone. Quote
