at this point i am ready to go back to the standard pair f carter B&B carbs.

they seem to work fine with no complications, and i have a shelf full of them..

the adjustments on the c/w carbs dont seem to do anything......i'll check on vac leak right now...

I'm amazed you're having this much trouble with the Carter-Webers; I took mine out of the boxes, bolted them to the adapters and adjusted the idle speed, and they've been flawless.

marty....the idle screw is the one with the spring on it right?...

i bought this car from another person, who in my opinion, tinkered the thing to death....one carb was set 1-1/2 turns out..the other 3 full turns out...!!

first carb opened way before the second. i have them synched best i can.

the wiring is a mess.......spent all day making it look a little neater so i can understand it.

with all my problems and troubleS I AM HAVING FUN!

THANKS ALL FOR YOUR HELP..

ken is coming over to help install my tranny...and the horn relay thing is sorting out...all with your help..thanks robrt.

hey hucks.....i am using the good ones..3 cars , 2 with dual carbs. all b&b's working so easy. AND the shelf full of carbs are mostly parts carbs....

ebay for 10-20 bucks. there are 2 on ebay right now. ( plymouth)

on ebay hit...194* plymouth carburetor....or 195* dodge carburetor..

then you gt all the carb info from all years!!! save lots of time.

ply and dodge same...desoto and chrysler same..also they all interchange anyway.

the carbs were all the same, anyway except for the choke system. any will work. i like to top half of the 40's crbs with the tall air cleaner clamp...

swap..all the same jets and linkage too!! likewise all rebuild kits are almost all the same!!!!

desoto and chrysaler had a slightly larger throat...but same carb!!!
