  1. I am interested in rims and live in Dallas. How many? 16" or 15", five bolt? Are hubcap clips on rim? Sent you an e-mail for shipping estimate. Thanks, Jim in Dallas
  2. Came across this Dodge D2 dually in Halletsville, Texas last spring. Close to San Antonio air base so it may have seen duty in the 50's.
  3. I have three wheels that are missing 5 clips. I found replacements off old wheels. What is best way to attach.....bolt/nut, weld or rivet. If rivet, what size? Jim
  4. On my B3B driver (weekends only) I can go two, maybe three weeks before the battery is drained and can't crank the starter. It's a new 6 volt commercial battery. Either I have a drain on the battery from a short or the battery in not being recharged. This week at Pate/Texas Motor Speedway I bought a handheld analyzer that has a voltage reading. I checked the generator and it is generating 6.5 - 7.5 volts. Can I clip the analyzer to the voltage regulator to see if this charge is reaching the battery, or at the battery end what can I check to see if the battery is recieving the charge? I can recharge the battery with a charger and I'm good for another two to three weeks, but that's getting old. "Been there, done that" advice appreciated. Jim Gaspard Dallas
  5. Thanks to Dave Claussen for the photo in this string.. a posted picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks to Phil Edmonds for sending me his fabricated bar and bolts, postage paid. I went to Harbor freight in Dallas Saturday, bought the bearing separator and had the steering wheel off in an hour with a few turns of the center bolt and taps under the hub of the wheel. I've tried every thing for the last six months. Thanks to Dave and Phil, I'm off to the next project. I will be happy to forward the complete steering-removal jig to the next Pilothouse owner who needs it, as long as they pass it along to the next guy. Drop me an e-mail Jim in Dallas

  11. Cool! Phil, I'm one of those guys who has tried almost everything so far. I don't have a drill press sufficient to build the bar. I would be willing to rent your device, or buy it and make it available for other forum members. Jim in Dallas

  15. I have two B3B 1/2 ton, 108" wheel base. Side boards are 60". I have a B3C 3/4 ton, 116 wheel base parts truck and the side boards are 68". Hang on to your side boards and eventually someone will need them. I may want to part out my B3C once I use all the parts I need later this year (or next). The side boards are near perfect. Jim B3B in Dallas
  16. Good question, sharp eye. Everything else on the truck is stock including bed. I was told this was a barn and church truck for many years and saw very little use. I'll compare with my frame-off truck sides. I thought the bed sides were the same on both. Jim B3B in Dallas
