I have seen lots of them around in the last few years. Keep looking, and don't pay $300. You will find them for less. Tom Hollister, CA

Add me as a friend and I will send you a PM with my e-mail. I am interested. Thanks Tom Hollister, CA -
I have a few, not enough, but I found a couple floating around in the bottom of a bin of parts. I don't know how much it would cost to send them to you, but I will give them to you for the shipping charges. Send me a PM if you are interested. I think I have 4 or 5. Tom Hollister, CA

Thanks guys. Now I know what to look for. Tom Hollister, CA -
Be ready for the sticker shock when you call them. I forget how much they wanted, but they were way too pricey for me. I went with washers. Tom Hollister, CA

The Red Dog Build - Trying To Post Some Pictures

Here are some pictures taken today. Notice the lock is in and the emblems got installed on the side. Still need to hook up the defroster tube and pull the wiper motor and see if the grease has gone bad, but it is looking pretty good. I take it to work at least once a week. -

An then we started putting it back together....lots of new bolts, and a new bed made out of engineered plastic lumber. Lots of stuff lost or broken too. Some stuff found after purchasing replacements....ah...the joy of building a truck..... -

Jonathan rewired the entire truck, and then he did it again, and then he did it right (mostly), and then he got some help and it is now about as good as I have seen in an old truck. This may have been the most frustrating part, but the kid pulled it out in the end and the wiring is top notch. -

Does anyone have a picture of what the armrest looks like in a 1952? I can't remember taking any out of my truck, I know I don't have any, and I don't even know what to look for. Anyone have some for sale? Thanks Tom Hollister, CA

I know that is the right bumper, and the work looks great. But there is just something odd about the way the bumper sits so low and back on the truck. I almost bought the bumper from Kevin at the BBQ, but when I placed it on the back of my truck, it just looks odd to me. If I were keeping my truck, I would like to get a pipe bumper the same size as the taillight buckets. I think that would look really cool. Just a preference. But the work on that bumper is fantastic Merle. Tom Hollister, CA

With that Green color, black grill bars, bumpers and running boards might look real sharp. I tend more to silver/chrome. But my truck is red (at least until I sell it, then I don't know what will happen to it). Tom Hollister, CA

Are you going to paint the grill bars and the bumper the same color? Tom

I think it looks great. What is the eventual color scheme going to be? Tom Hollister, CA

Finally - After 7 Years The Grill Is Done
BulldogTom replied to BulldogTom's topic in Mopar Flathead Truck Forum
Unfortunately, it is to get it sold. Jonathan is going to work in San Jose all summer and then starting SJ State in the fall. Patrick just got an internship at NASA Ames Research in the bay area. They both need cars they can drive long distances. Love the truck, but got to sell it to live. Tom Hollister, CA -

When we started on this project 7 years ago, I wanted the front grill to look exactly like this. At the 5 year mark, we had the grill pieces done, and I did not realize that my son had just started the bolts to hold it all together when we took it for the first test drive. The bottom two pieces fell off and we ran them over. Now it is finally done, exactly the way I envisioned. Tom Hollister, CA

Yeah, mine does not look like that. There is a sleeve, but it does not have the brazed nut on it. Tom Hollister, CA
