Follow up to my search for info: I drained the trans (not the tourqe converter) and filled it up. I then proceeded to add more than what came out/what it needs beacuse the trans level stick (trans dip stick?) Said it was dry yes it was in neutral Like its supposed to be. All so I filled the trans directly from the checker tube and no fluid was on the ground. The reason I changed it other than it being who knows how old is. I got a slight burning smell, and she sliped out of drive for a second. The fluid that came out was not burt smelling however and it had no metal in it. My air breather for the trans had a 1" thick coating of grease on it that I cleaned off befor the scary trans incident. And befor it did the weird drive slip, burned smell it coughed up some trans fluid and it came out from the dip stick. So I serious nee your guy's help to understand this weird ass old trans. Thanks
