I made this 2 tools to remove stuck water jacket tube, it was stuck way in there as you can see its broken i made this tool out of 1/8" thick aluminum strap and i cut out a hook also sharpened the tip so it can slide in like a screw driver as i pulled it out it broke in half and half was stuck way in there but after a few mins i got it hooked and got the other half out.. This works great for rotted out tubes now block is off to machine shop for reboring and acid bath

Used and old intake and made a new one
  9. Make sense i believe the 218 donor came from an earlier Plymouth so best guess is to check clearances and use the rotor and keep the gear as garage deco or spare
  10. Im rebuilding my 48 230 dodge coupe, motor was shot so i got a 218 donor block, i used the crank and rods off my original 230 but i noticed the the 218 came with a gear oil pump and my 230 with a rotor.. Question is what one is better to run? I tried searching here before posting another thread but no luck. rebuilding this motor i have learned a lot about this amazing motor but im still a bit green on some things. Thanks
  11. I believe my regulator on my 48 dodge is going bad. If it sits more than a few days i have to polarize my generator but my battery still shows 6.56v. Once polarized my amp guage is bouncing all over and at a high iddle im showing 7.45 v. At battery, is this normal? Also can i run a 6v. Positive ground regulator that is meant for a tractor?
