Good afternoon fellas. My 3-speed trans out of my 53' cranbrook is at the trans shop. I am trying to find a kit for it, but no luck so far. Does anyone know where i can get one at a decent price? Should i replace any other components besides seals. The guy at the trans shop siad he was concerned about the play at the output shaft. He said i should possibly have it sleeved. Any comments would be appreciated. My old lady is starting to get on my ass for a hung up car in the yard.

Was wondering if anyone knew the part #'s for all the seals in my 3-spd. Im sure i can find them at napa. Its going to be re-sealed and want to get all the parts ready. anything else i should remember. thx.

Im sending my 53' ply cranbrook trans over to the trans shop for a re-seal. they want to know what is the actual nomenclature, (part # or name)for this trans. its a regular 3-spd. Any ideas fellas?

If you do a koeo and there is no check wallet light, you have no communication with the computer. We have done 3 computers on dodges this week in my shop. Be sure to check all of your basics before anything. The ASD relay is a common problem as well as the crank sensor. Plug a scan tool in and see if it communicates, If it does, look for an RPM signal (this lets you know your crank sensor is functioning). If it doesnt. you have no communication with the computer.

I guess I will wear a nice suit to the procedure.....I want to look impotant.....If i'm going to be impotant.

Thanks for the imput guys. Thats exactly what the doc said. Frozen peas and no bench pressing transmissions. The procedure involves taking a valume 1 hr before cut time. then a non needle anisthetic. I have been hearing rumors about after the procedure, some men cannot "perform" or pitch tent. I don't know if it's true. Any problems there??

Good afternoon fellas. I'm going to have to put the 53' cran on the backburner for a weekend. I am possibly going in for a vasectomy and was wanting to get info from you guys that have had one. Any side effects? Pros and cons, etc. Thanks for the Info.

I forgot to mention that it is a regular 3-speed.

Hello fellas. Does anyone know where i can find a trans for my 53' cranbrook here in Arizona. I've been looking, but no luck. Any ideas are appreciated.

I have to drive down about 2 miles of rough, dusty, bumpy roads to hit the hardball (pavement) where I live out in Vail, AZ. My 53' Ply shakes and rattles like crazy. I just take it slow and easy. When i hit the hardball, I open it up and I'm on my way. It is a non-county maintained road that is graded by the neighbors maybe once a year or less. I chose to live out there to get rid of the city life. No traffic, noise and shmuck neighbors. I don't mind driving down the washboard road every now and then. Just take it slow and give it a good spray off when you are done.

Wow $15000 as a starting bid............It's got to be a typo. He will catch on when he notices 0 bids until it closes.

Wow Bob.....That Cranbrook is very impressive. Very clean. I picked mine up for $1200 and drove it home 20 miles with no lights and no charging system. (That's why i'm going to be running 12v). I still have a lot to do to it, but hey.....Thats what it's all about. Does anyone have any pics of a chopped 53'. If so, please share.

I can't downsize my pics yet. There is a pic on my profile. The date on the bottom is incorrect. The pic was actually taken last week. I'm not sure what i'm going to do for paint yet. I'll just see how it goes.

Its a pretty solid running car right now. I have a few things to do like rebuild the master cyl, re-wire for 12V. Speaking of re-wiring. Is there anything I should really pay attention to when converting to 12V besides the basic stuff.

Welcome aboard. I am a new guy too. I have a 53' Cran. Keep us posted on the progress. Good luck man!
