  1. awesome, thank you very much. just curious, what manual do you have? i see a few online but wasnt sure which one to go with. thanks!
  2. Does anyone have a blueprint or drawing of the frame dimensions for a '50 dodge business coupe? Looking to build a new frame in my car from the trans member back and would like to get it ready before pulling the car apart for short downtime. Thanks.
  3. Saw that thread, doesn't help any. Usually can't find much of anything with the search. Does anyone have photos or input on a 4 link in these cars? I don't think I can get anymore drop out of the leaf/block unless I do a 4" block.
  4. Right now I have 3" blocks and a couple leaves pulled from the spring packs....and the rear still sits a bit higher then the front....is 4 link and coilovers my only option to go lower? Anyone have photos of how they setup their car? Thanks!
  5. my car is wired 6v positive ground. cranks over nice, lights are bright. everything seems to be fine. only thing that doesnt work is radio, not sure why. i got the car this way but if you need to see how anything is wired i could take some photos as needed.
  6. Just wanted to reply again to say that I have driven the car, did about 75 miles today. Very happy with how it rides with the trimmed aero star(Moog) coils and c10 (monroe) shocks in the front
  7. Looking good!
  8. Thank you for the responses. I went for a cruise today with my buddies and their c10's. We did figure out that my speedometer is slow. When it reads 35-40 I'm actually doing 45-50. The comments about running higher rpm back then does make sense, it seems high revving but I have more throttle to go. I will be adding a tach, do 6v require a different tach than 12v?
  9. Took my 1950 busi coupe for the first drive today...seems like anything over 35-40mph and the engine is running too high of rpm? Its a basically stock 230, rebuilt couple years ago. Straight pipe to lake pipes. 3 speed trans stock rear axle. G78-14 tires. Talked to a previous owner, he said it will do 50-55 but pretty high rpms. I understand stock gear ratio is 3.90? Does anyone sell different gear sets for these?
  10. Ptwothree, they are c10 shocks. (71) I haven't driven it yet, getting the car registered this friday
  11. those are the monroe gas matic shocks....cheap bottom of the line / economy grade. i just purchased the same shocks as listed for a c10 to put in the front of mine...havent driven it since doing the swap. for it to still be bouncy, i would check to see if the shocks arent already bottomed out. even with an economy grade shock, it should still be decent when new. edit, short bounce = little travel. sits higher = cant compress much anymore. i think the shock is bottomed out. i dont see how a shock could make it that much stiffer.
  12. i took the hamb template and modified them....straight lines on the bracket, not curved. also is welded to side and top of frame rail instead of just the side.
  13. im running the moog cc850 (ford aerostar) coils with 1.5 coils cut off up front. also running c10 shocks with homemade relocation brackets and i made new sway bar bushings out of a block of rubber. (if anyone is wondering the rear is 3" blocks with a couple leafs pulled out of the leafpack)
  14. ^^thanks James. I understand when mounting belts you need to meet certain angles and have the weight distributed at the mount points. I guess my question is more of the shoulder belt mount in the business coupe since there isn't much of a pillar. Is bracing needimg to be welded in for an attachment point?
  15. I did a search and found what it is for the trucks....but the cars with column shift, what is the thread size for the shift knob? I want to replace the stocker with a red marble swirl one. Thanks!
