  1. That was her name Don... "The Bitch" or herpes. Maybe I am on the wrong forum? I will stop posting
  2. Martybose... I am all for some things. See pics of bloodyknuckles new 41. I chopped the bitch 6", 59 ford 9" and a Cadillac motor in it. But, it was in boxes when I bought it and put it together. The 39 flattie Cadi motor wasn't enough, so I went a more modern with a 60s Cadi motor and disk brakes. Some newer technology is ok... But there is a point where it turns into a street rod or ??? With coil overs and c notches and etc. so, it all depends on what you want? I c notched and bagged a 52 Chevy that i bought with a 350/350 combo. I just have the feeling that this forum isn't the right forum for c notches, coil overs and more newer technology
  3. Is it extreme Marty? I agree that everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their car. BUT, it is the truth. Read my other posts on my car and you will see why my attitude was such! I love traditional hot rods, TRUE traditional, but check out the feedback I got about changes I want to make (without modern technology parts). So? The OP of this post is a traditional guy... I already know that
  4. coilovers are as traditional as SBC350/350 combos and MII front ends... go ahead and do the whole thing cool guy thing if you are going to ruin your car
  5. Beautiful bike Don! Love a BSA! Don't love purple though... Lol
  6. NO! Don, NO! Ha... That is fine on a charger or challenger... I will find the perfect color one day.
  7. Too purple....
  8. Thanks DJ, she is a PG. and FULLY complete! Old restoration... I almost am 99% sure I won't chop... But? We will see. Not at first anyway. Bewillie... No red, ever... The ox blood isn't a red persay. But a dark color is definitely going to happen.... This winter.
  9. thanks GlennCraven... It doesn''t look bad in the pics... In person, It's electric!! Something has to happen, so if I have to change the jambs and etc in it anyway.... May as well go black. Or ox blood... or midnight blue... or??? Damnit... thanks guys!!!
  10. change your signature line... you dont own half those cars anymore! LOL
  11. @Greg g. Yeah, I know. I have been saying I am gonna paint everything black for the last 5 cars. 1 was red, 1 was blue (and 53 Chevy mint green at one point...check bloodyknuckles new 41), 1 was darker blue, 1 was orange and 1 never left primer.... I do not like the blue on this car, so the color will change. I am toying around with a few other colors, but the wife says black too? SO? We will see when it comes out of the paint booth. Thanks Cpt Fred... Yes, I have pics of that sedan from the HAMB...(BettyBlue on there). I cant wait to get her done and on the road. You hear that BloodyKnuckles... get her shipped up here!!! LOl
  12. Both Don... Bolts were loose on one side and it hung wrong. But license plate is definitely crooked. It has since been tightened down and sits straighter
  13. Here are two of bloodyknuckles 41 without the hood...
  14. Thanks death bound!
  15. Thanks Don and death bound! I have started a new post! And of course, thanks boobs! Without your help, I couldn't start a **** storm. I shoulda put the hemi in her! Niel, putting around may come when I am 80, but the life I have lived, I doubt I will make it that far. 55fargo... Thanks And Don, I agree with the fuzzy dice comment (except late 50's cars).... But chopping is not a crime. Lol
  16. Niel, you can put around all you want... I prefer to be able to get in my car and drive 19 hours to a show or cruise RTE 66 from one end to the other. I have been across this country from SC to Cali 5 times, in different cars each time. 3 new and 2 older... I wouldnt do it any other way! The 34 will be able to drive highway speeds from here in Kansas where I am stationed, to NC to see my wife, to Austin for LSRU next year and then on to Cali for Santa Maria. It's ALL about the ride and the experience! As far as slowing down and seeing the scenery, the same scenery gets old!! Build them, drive them, enjoy them! OH... and chopping or hotrodding is not a crime!
  17. A few more
  18. So, Bloody Knuckles and I swapped cars. He got my 41 plymouth and I got this stunning 1934 plymouth 2 door coach. It will be period correct hot rodded with dual intake, split manifolds, mopar 4 speed OD and prob a cam at a later date. I will drop her in the front and run bigs and littles. AND she is getting a beautiful black paint job and interior... Then I am going to drive the piss out of her!
  19. This car will be traditionally hot rodded! If you want to keep it as a time capsule and cruise at 55, contact me and I will sale it to you! I buy cars to drive and enjoy! Speed limit is 75, I wanna go 75 and if I wanna go to Texas or California, I can! Why have a car to put around town?
  20. AND KnuckleHarley... if the price is right, she could be yours. I have a hemi I want to build something around....
  21. KnuckleHarley... a lot of what you are replying to is 2 years old. No one said anything about a rat rod (which is a bad word in most arenas, even though most everybody has no clue what a rat rod really is) The brakes are already gone through and she is ready for the road. This is my plan for her: I have decided to keep her traditional. I am shaving the head, installing a multi carb set up, split exhaust and lowering her front a bit. 5.50 on the front and 7.50 on the rear. Adding an overdrive to her, sprucing up the interior, 12v and getting a black paint job... And I am going to drive the wheels off her.
  22. Don, He got rid of the 51, if that is the rat rod you are talking about. They still have the Desoto, the gasser and they picked up my chopped 41 Plym business coupe. I wasn't selling, I was in NC on leave and buying a motor from him, left with 34 plymouth and no need for a motor. Thanks... Look forward to learning more and making this a traditional hot rod.
  23. Well, this is no longer bloody knuckles and Heather's ride, but now they have a 41 Plym business coupe. Hopefully Ron got all this stuff fixed for me. Lol. After careful consideration and reading this post, I have decided to keep her traditional. I am shaving the head, installing a multi carb set up, split exhaust and lowering her front a bit. 5.50 on the front and 7.50 on the rear. Adding an overdrive to her, sprucing up the interior, 12v and getting a black paint job... And I am going to drive the wheels off her. Bloody Knuckles and Heather, thanks for the '34! Can't wait to get Gypsy Devil to Kansas!
