  1. I can't find any reference as to whether these shocks will fit on my P-6. Does anyone know if they are correct for my car also? My P-6 is a 2 dr. sedan. I appreciate the help in advance. Greg

Simon, welcome to the flock. This is a great site for tips and tricks. Good luck with the new car.
  3. OK that is what it looked like to me. Did you use Steele rubber? I also noticed that the roller for the window guide had frozen up and wasn't turning, so I need to make something to replace that also. Wish I was a machinist. And about that brick and hammer that is probably what I will be using also. Thanks for the info. Greg
  4. I need to replace the vent window weatherstrips. I guess I will buy from Steele. Do I need to remove the glass frame to install? If so what do I need to do to re-rivet the top hinge point of the frame? I thought I had done this in the sixties, but the rubber was too brittle to have been replace then. Any guidance is appreciated. Greg
  5. I am trying to get my Flattie running again, it has sat too many years. I have replaced the water pump and flushed the block and radiator. Put on new hoses and added coolant. Went to watch the F-1 race came back and all the coolant was on the floor. It appears that the leak is coming from the timing cover. Is there a freeze plug behind the timing cover? I rebuilt the engine in the mid 60's and I can't seem to find out if there is a plug there or not. Engine is for a P-6.
  6. I am finally getting back to my baby after way too long. It has built up varnish in the fuel lines and pump. I have gotten the pump cleaned out, but the lines are the problem. Is there a 'simple' way to clear these lines? Do I need to pull them completely out of the car to be able to remove the gooey varnish? How clean do they need to be? Any guidance is appreciated.
