This gearbox is the original 3 speed from truck which is a 1946 Dodge WC civilian pick up. It needs cluster gear OR I buy a good used 3 speed replacement tranny.

Thanks for the help. The article led me to The Temperature Gauge Repair Guy (Roy Martin)in Burlington VT. Apparently he served as apprentice to the late Dick Evans, who, by the way, was about 1 mile from me.

The temperature sensor (gas filled bulb type) broke off the copper wire that goes to the gauge. Does anyone know of a competent, reliable repair facility ???
