  3. Speaking of hard to find parts, I've been looking for a rear universal joint for my '48 b1b, anybody know where I can find one? and is there a ford or chevy that'll work? Bill

  5. I'm really sorry you had to sell your '52b3b, I had to sell my 58 Pontiac a few yeays back and every time I see one at a car show I cry. I had no garage space and didn't want to leave it outside, but life goes on. Keep in touch and throw your 2 sence worth in once in a while. Bill

  7. Well I started over and went through all the steps again,checking connections, and setting and found the points gap were to wide, corrected them and it took off and scarded the crap out of me. Was'nt expecting it I guess. But it's running good now. Thanks for all the help Guys I need a few parts like a head light bucket for the drivers side, The two chrome pieces that go over the wiper transmisions and what ever goes over the defrost vent inside. I got no idea what they even look like, can't find nothing in the bushel basket cause I don't know what I'm looking for. I'm going to try to send same pictures so you guys know what I'm talking about Bill

  9. Hello everyone, I need help,lots of help. I'm working on my 48 b1b and trying to start the engine, I bought it last fall and the truck was strip clean,frame and cab sand blasted and then it was stored many years, so I got it in a bushel basket. I need pictures of where the battiery goes, how the wire harnies goes thought the fire wall,how the linkage hooks up to the tranny [ it's a 3 speed on the column] Anyway getting back to weak spark, I changed plug wires, plugs,and condensor[points look good] and I'm getting a weak spark. Any help would be great. Bill
  10. I'm rebuilding my brakes on my 1948 Dodge D1D pickup and was wondering what it takes to change to disc since all my wheel cyl are bad. Does the kit come with instructions and how hard is it to do? e=mail me at wpingel@wi.rr.com Thanks Willis
