Hello,
My name is Frank and i'm a new member of this forum and recent purchaser of a 1947 Plymouth Special Deluxe. Although the car is mostly complete it is a total restoration project- floor pans, seat recovery, headliner, some minor exterior patch panel replacement and body work. I intend to keep the car as close to its stock condition as possible but might add some updated wheels and tires to dress it up a bit. The flat 6 will stay along with the 3 on the tree after rebuilding both and checking the rear end over. This will be our weekend/evening car to cruise around as a driver- not trying to make it a show car. I bought the car on a sunday evening and by monday morning, my 6 year old granddaughter had already claimed the car as her own. Well, that would give me about 10 years to get this car fixed up and drivable before she can get a license. I suppose i had better get started so i can enjoy it before she takes it away.
I started browsing this forum about 2am this morning and was on until 5:30am. Lots of info and i've learned quite a bit this far. Looking forward to eventually posting more about my project car and meeting other members.
Thanks for the site and grateful for the members.
