  1. so i been wanting to switch out my axle, since i want to cruise around on the freeway going 70 -80mph. right now im running a 218 with a 3sp and g78 tires in the rear with 3.73 ratio and at 65mph im at at 2500rpm i will like to be able to get to 70-80mph. which axle can i swap over that wont be to much work? i was thinking of a b body 8.25 but what will i need to do the swap? will any newer jeep axles work too?
  2. does anyone have a linkage diagram for the cowl vent it seems like im missing a bolt i think, right now i cant shut or open it fully just stays in the middle
  3. so for a 52 plymouth concord, they should be using a 4lb instead of a 7lb?
  4. alright so i put the headers on with the napa gaskets, worked well and the fit was nice, now i have a question about my heat riser since its eliminated can i put a block off plate where the 4 bolts go? is it alright to run it without a block off plate for a day or two?
  5. i just got some reds headers in the mail and i wanted to know if i needed to get manifold and intake gasket?if i get these http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?R=FPGMS8009B_0147274822 will they still work if im running headers?
  6. ohh damnn maybe, well im think about selling them since i dont use them, they are made out of fiberglass, whats a good price i can sell them for?
  7. so i got these skirts when i bought my 52 concord business coupe, i tried them on and they seem to have a gap between the skirt and quarter on the bottom corner. could they be from another plymouth, all it said behind the fender skirt is 50-52 plymouth/dodge
  8. i dont have any pictures because i dont have a camera but if i get a hold of one i will post some. thanks for the advice but right now im gonna put this aside since i dont have much time or money right now.
  9. alright so in this situation what should i do?
  10. The new bolts are a bit longer so they stick out a little more so i can put a nut on their, and thats what i was thinking that they are not stock bolts since im using 1/2-13 bolts, and stock are 7/16 bolts right??
  11. hah i just tighten it as hard as i could, hopefully it holds up haha and i was thinking of putting a nut since theirs some bolt thread sticking out a little, just need to find one thats thin enough
  12. so i already got the flywheel on, just had to rotate it so it goes on right, it sits flush. maybe the 52 plymouths got threaded crankshaft flange and flywheel??
  13. its not a fluid drive its a 3sp manual
  14. it was originally bolted on the cranksshaft but then the bolts from the flywheel snapped when i was driving, and im replacing the bolts now, originally which has the thread? the crankshaft or flywheel?
  15. well the engine is a 218 and im not sure if the previous owners changed it out, but yeah both the flange and the flywheel is threaded, and it is hard to make it flush
  16. im installing my flywheel and i cant seem to get it to sit right. is their a easy way to install it? and also my crankshaft flange is threaded and so is the flywheel its from a 52 218
  17. alright so i think i found out what was knocking, my bolts from my flywheel ended up snapping when i was driving it, so i took everything apart to reach the bolts, my throwout bearing seems to spin really rough and makes a noise when i spin it by hand, i turned the tranny by hand from the shaft and its really smooth so im guessing the tranny is in good shape. i will like to replace the pilot bushing too, how do i take it off??
  18. im running champion 592, and if you have a napa near you, you can get all those parts at napa or any auto store
  19. just wanted to know how the gauge works since their is no markings ha thanks guys im new to plymouths haha
  20. so how do i read this temp gauge?? mine usually stays in the middle, what temp is it running at if it stays in the middle?? its a 52 concord
  21. so im running a electric fuel pump and i have the mechanical one on their still but not connected or anything, do they sell a block off plate for the 218
  22. i have a 52 concord and my axle carrier bump stop is in bad shape, i will like to replace it. does any one sell it or maybe get one from another mopar that will fit?
  23. what i mean is that the noise is only their when the clutch pedal is not pushed. when you do push the pedal the noise goes away. i checked the throwout bearing and i could spin and wiggle it with me just touching it.
  24. no their isnt any noise when the car is moving and the clutch is engaged, but when im moving around 20mph or more with the clutch not pushed in i cant hear the knocking maybe cause i have it straight piped.
  25. so i took a video of my car, and it has this knocking noise when the clutch is depressed and once i press it in it stops. here is the video when the knocking goes away i have the clutch in.
