I had the same issue with my 48 dodge. It worked fine for a long time and lately I have had to mess with the it once in a while. It sounds like its an adjustment issue. I don't have an exact answer. I just ordered a shop manual and hopefully it has the answer. I know some of the gurus on this form will have the answer!
I don't remember if it was one piece or not but I got mine from Bernbaum, is been several years. I will have to try and squeeze a little sealer in the corners where it leaks. I am not taking it out to redo it! lol
I got both the windshield and rear window seals from Bernbaum's. The wind shield was a big pain the rear! They both leak a little but the car is always kept in the garage, and I just drive it on the nice summer days! That's why I have not redone them yet. I installed them myself for the first and last time lol, I would definitely have a pro install them if its your first time. Not sure if its a Bernbaum issue or first time install issue?
