  3. I was just thinking about the same thing. what size tire are you running on the factory rim with a radial tire. What did they do about the shrader valve? just a few thoughts Im kicking around and had considered ordering new wheels. thanks Rich

  7. Here are the mopars I spotted at the show. I took over 300 pics of the entire show and actually ran out of battery on my camera. Living in vegas is great during the season. due to size I will make several post Rich
  8. has anyone adapted a tilt steering column and kept the stock steering box? If so was the shaft cut and a borg. joint welded in place? just getting the wheels turning on an idea. Rich
  9. nice looking set up; my only question is if thats a 1 piece header flange then you will have to pull youre steering column if you ever have to remove the header. also I guess that means you had to assemble in place. nice looking though and solves the steering box dilema we all face with a v8. Rich
  10. Has anyone ordered rockers from Auto Body Specialties; they list 2 door rockers on their site with no info as to length or metal gauge. I looked at R-Car site but they indicate 36" long and on my conv. they need to be approx. 46" long. I ordered a set from JC Whitney but Im not sure I want to use these if I can find a little better fit. thanks Rich
  11. does the plydo or fatman kit come with detailed instructions? all this talk of being exact paralell has me a little scared; (hopefully unfounded). I can measure and with a guiline of what to expect should be fine but have any novices installed this kit? Rich
  12. shoot me a private message and I'll exchange numbers with you if we can meet up on sunday. thanks RIch
  13. When and where is the show to be ( I know vegas but what hotel). I live in henderson and would love to see some members and a nice car show. thanks Rich
  14. I have read recently about others unhappyness with plydo. does any one else carry a rack and pinion conversion for a 1950 plymouth? Does anyone have any experiance with theirs? I am considering ordering one and am exploring all options first. Thanks Rich
  15. I purchased the car from South Dakota. the floor and lower doors were rusted. at that time I lived in PA and had to store the car outside for 3 years. Now that im back in Vegas and have the car here I can finally make some progress. I am fully welding the floors in not just spotwelds; being a conv. it needs all the strength it can get. Since the pics were taken I added the strips between the floor and the trans tunnel. now its the rockers or the passenger side. thanks for all the support
  16. Im in Las Vegas I work on the car on the weekends and try a little at night when I can. This is my third 49,50 plymouth project but by far the most extensive due to being a conv. I am breaking the floor and mounts into seperate projects and try to finish 1 then move to the next as to not become overwelmed. The car is getting a 318 and 727 trans that I picked up but this will wait until the body is stiff enough to lift off the frame. thanks for all the encouragement the site provides as I stated Im a long time reader short time poster Rich
  17. I havent post much just followed for the past 3 years so I thought I might post my floor in my 1950 plymouth conv. I had to rebuild to torque boxes underneath and then the floors; next comes the rockers. Im hoping to finish the floors in the next couple weekends. this is my first attempt at this so I dont think its too bad. 16 gauge sheetmetal welded. Rich
  18. try getting a can of air or using an air compressor to blow the dust out of the unit. the fans and heat sinks get a lot of dust build-up and then the PC will shut down on thermal overload; this is very common on laptops due to the small amount of airspace and smaller fans. hope this helps. Rich
