  1. Got it on there and working. What a feeling to have that working again. Thanks again to everyone on the board for helping out.
  2. A little info on the car: It was my wife's father's car during here childhood until he died when she was 12. She's now almost 40, so it's been in the family a long time.
  3. Thanks a ton for the offers. I'm sure I'll have many questions in the future.
  4. DeSoto39 - tried to reply to your PM, but it's showing your inbox full. Thanks for everything.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up getting one ordered through George. WHat an awesome site. A thank you to the guys that sent PMs as well.
  6. Thanks a lot. I just left a message.
  7. Available new anywhere? Thanks, Tom
  8. I'm planning to change rear pinion seal and trans output seal on our '47 2dr with Fluid drive. The last time I checked into them I was told by the parts warehouse that I would need to pull the seals and look for a part number. I don't want to pull the seals and find out I can't get them and/or have the car disassembled for several weeks. Anybody know the part numbers off hand? Thanks, Tom
  9. Yeah, it's cold here too..about 50 degrees or so
  10. Yep, the 2 dr seems to be pretty rare from what I've seen.
  11. Yes, wheels and tires are off of a '68 Fury III that I used to have, and the hubcaps are some sort of PLymouth caps that I found at the swap meet.
  12. The internat is both good and bad for the car hobby. It helps on parts and info, and unfortunately really helps in procrastination..
  13. Will do
  14. Different thread topic. Wasn't really expecting someone to come into my wanted thread and offer info on interchangeabilty. I basically have someone offering to sell me an item that neither of us knows whether it will work or not, so I'm now asking whether it will fit so that I can complete the transaction. Not cool to do so? Maybe I can wait a few days and someone who knows the answer, but has no parts to sell may possibly just pop in in case their knowledge is needed? I can live with that I guess.
  15. Is this originally a 3rd brake light? If so was it the first of it's kind? If not has anyone else wired it this way?
  16. Found these that I took not too long ago:
  17. Anybody know whether the band brake setup from a '50 Plymouth will fit a '47 Doge for sure? Pics in this thread if needed: http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=25178&goto=newpost
  18. Good for a laugh: http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1
  19. Not just grooved, but a big chunk broken off the drum..
  20. Awesome collection
  21. Actually Pontiac was more expensive than a Chevy. Chevy was the lowest line for GM, and likely why there were more of them.
  22. As long as this engine was used and as many that were built, I'd have thought vintage performance parts would be around...
  23. Who has them and how "around" are they? Pics? Eventually I'd like to put one on our '47
  24. How many of you are still 6 volt? I hung a GM internally regulated Alt on my Flatty and never looked back. We rewired the lights, and engine controls, and never hooked up the original instruments, etc. I've also hung one on the 318 in a '68 Fury I had a few years back, and also on my Chrysler flat 4 in my forklift. A Ford buddy of mine hung on on his '63 Ranchero with a 302 as well...
