  1. Has anyone put a car alarm on there 6 volt system. No one in oklahoma will touch my car since its not a 12 volt.
  2. I bought my 48 plymouth a few weeks ago. 2nd owner said it need brakes and a right rear cylinder. Took off the rear wheels off today to paint them, here is what I found. Yeah the brake line twisted off hanging, backing plate bent. I fiqured some kind of puller was use instead of the right one. Guess I will bend the lip back on the backing plate. If you don't know what you are doing just take it somewhere. Damm some people. I have the right puller that was made for me by a machinist. I order new shoes , springs and clips from Andy Bethbaum auto parts. WOW all parts were at my door 2 days later thats what I call fast from Newton Mass. to Oklahoma city. They have my business from now on. I always buy a manual before I work on one of my old cars. I wish other folks would too before they try to work on a old car. Sorry about the rant.
  3. I forgot I have some G78-15 wide whitewalls on my old 1955 ford in the garage and the tires are in good shape. Im switching for now, I have to get the 57 chevy fixed next and the ford is last.
  4. Sorry I forgot to post pics. The tires has fake white walls now.
  5. Hi Im new here, just bought a 1948 plymouth special deluxe. Its blue with the original interior. Body is straight and all the chrome is in great shape. My first car in high school was a 1948 plymouth special deluxe, but it was black. Now I have another one, I feel 16 again. lol Question. The tires are bad, I don't want to spend a $150 per tire for the big white walls. So should I go black tire or skinny white wall ? Both look good to me, any input will help. Thanks from Oklahoma city.
