This is an excellent site. The Antique Automobile Club of America also has a very good forum. And the WPC Club has a good list of resources for mopars.
I use all of them.
I think the '50 Chrysler Windsor is absolutely beautiful. The front, the back, the interior, the whole thing! I'm not sure why, but I always have. And, it's a real hoot to drive.
Congratulations!
Thank you. I never thought about these handles representing the Chrysler building, but they are kind of art deco. They work fine, but I think a good substantial knob would be more comfortable to use.
Do I ever!
I bought the car over a year ago. It's like my first one except it's nicer and it's a 2 door. My wife and I dated in the first one.
I grew up in Plymouths and Dodges. Love these old Mopars.
I'll have to post pics. later. Wife isn't here now to show me how to do it. She's the smart one!
I have a 50 Chrysler Windsor 6.
The full flow filter is stock and the stock color of the engine is silver.
The Prestomatic/fliud drive transmission is very reliable, a much tougher transmission than a lot people think.
