haha disposable cars , you would think that, but the price you pay for a new car and the cost of general maintenance you can hardly think that its a disposable car . I've seen some pretty incredible (legit) repair bills in the last few years and its becoming more and more common .

They changed a wire located under your Master cylinder ,the sensor leaks brake fluid and can cause a fire . as far as the Toyota's are concerned I speculate that it is a software failure . They have so many safety's in place that if one part fails something else will check and keep things live all the time not to say that things can't go wrong but are unlikely but if it is man made it will break no doubt about that !

Hi guys i'm new here and wanted to thank you for this msg board it has been very help full, so has Merle and Tony WestOZ . I thought I would share with you guys my build. I can't restore it But I am hoping to bring it back to shiny . the body is in clean shape small amount of perforation in back lower cab and both front cab corners had been repaired at one time . I am hoping to have this done before summer has started but I know that's not going to happen.. this is how I got it last summer I know it has been stored in doors for at least 20 years. not bad but some one got putty silly and was throwing putty all over the truck so i've spent most the winter scrapping it off this is what it looks like now

Not sure about all antique auto insurance company's but up here they restrict you from driving the car unless you are going to the garage or to a auto show. READ THE fine PRINT !!!!!!!!!!!! insurance company's aren't out to help you or do you any favors .

Well I was going through another milk creat and found a second tag this one matches the ownership. So it is a 1949 for some reason he attached the 1950 tag to it, it is in better shape but not the right tag. Here is a picture of it.

There is several types of gasket on the market NAPA only offered the one to you ? you could even change the plug and get a rubber Oring plug type I find they work effectively . As far as reusing the oil nothing wrong as long as you keep it clean like every one is saying , as Greg G pointed out it is the impurities that kill oil , one such impurity is Acid from combustion. the longer the oil has been in the motor the more chance it will be a higher ph reading , hence why you should change it every 3 months or 3 miles regardless of if it sat in the garage for the winter or not. When I store my toys I drain and refill the oil when i bring them back out I drain and refill them again. (depending how much I care about them ) I am BIG on changing my oil my last truck had over 500K KM on it and still ran like a top and never twisted a wrench on that motor! not once ! in fact some dude is driving that truck still today ..
