on craigslist right now you can buy a 51 four door that runs for 500.00 buy it swap out your parts i.e. the body throw some primer on it and drive. vertigo and bad eyesight can be cured in a big open parking lot and somebody willing to ride with you.

i did not realise that i was going to have to cut out the tranny crossmember but that is cool.

i hafta agree pulling the clip is the way to go. now you can piant the frame and do a general clean up. it took me and two buddies an hour to pull mine.

my car is lowered at least 4 inches in the back. do you think that is going to be a problem? i ordered the trans crossmember yesterday. and how much work did you have to do to the firewall?

i was just wondering are you the guy doing the same kit?

before i start putting the sbc in i have some questions. I have noticed that most people just cut the top of the core support. I would rather not. do you guys do this only because you don't want to pull the front clip. or am i missing something?

i did exactley as he did except i did not run a wire to excite the alt. i've talked to some people that say you don't need it. and my car charged fine without it.
