  2. Hey guy, I'm getting rid of all my extra parts for a 46-48 plymouth 4 dr and some 49 2 dr parts. The catch is I want to get rid of them all at once and don't want to mail any... so living in Whittier, California anyone close can reap on the savings. I'm letting everything go for a fraction of what I paid for them. If interested in the list of parts email me on gspineda@aol.com. Thanks,gp.
  3. First off I want to thank you guys for your help. I drained the oil, dropped the pan and sure enough the pick up screen was partially clogged with muck. No evidence of metal. Cleaned everything up, put it back together with a new gasket. Took the filter and lines apart. Blew out the lines and cleaned the canister, new filter and put it back together. Added oil. Started her up and checked for leaks. Drove it around the hills. Steady 45 psi and no clacking. I'm happy. Thanks alot guys. gp
  4. Need your help. I have a 48 P15 with a 218 in it. The engine has been running great till tonight. When I accelerate I loose oil pressure down to zero where the valves start to clack. When I let off the accelerator the pressure goes back up to 40 lbs. Has anybody had this problem?? Thanks gp
  5. I've had an optima in my P15 for over 4 years and hasn't failed me yet. Starts the car every time.
  6. The car show will be in the middle of Downtown Whittier, Greenleaf and Philadelphia St. gp
  7. For those that are in Southern Cal, There is going to be a Car Show in Uptown Whittier this Saturday 8/16 from 9 to 4. Usually from 5 to 600 cars.
  8. Typically safety belts come in 60,74, and 90. What sizes are needed for the front and back on a P15 4 Door?
  9. Hey Normspeed, I have a drum puller you can borrow. I live in Whittier. Send me a pm and maybe we can hook up. george p.
  10. I put disc brakes on my P15 about 3 years ago. I think for todays driving in the L. A. area, it's a must. The other cars on the road are too fast and furious. george p.
  11. Norm, I would appriciate it if you sent me a copy. Gregs is good but not large enough. Thank you all. geroge p.
  12. Anybody have a copy of the ship in the P 15 Plymouth insignia that can be reproduced? I'd like to blow it up and transfer it to the new cardboard cover that will be facing the trunk. The material will show the outline when I upholster it. Thanks george p.
  13. Does anyone know if American Racing Torq-thrust II Wheels, 15x6, 5 on 4 1/2 with a back space of 3 3/8 fit on a 48 Plymouth without any complications? I did some work for a client and he offered them to me as part payment. He had them on one of his old fords he sold. Thanks. george p
  14. I bought a tach from APT Instruments. Part number APT-TAC 6 Their web site is www.tachshack.com/sixvolt.htm. About $150. Iv'e had it for over two years and still working good

  16. Street Rodder, January '08 is featuring a 48 P15 in their magazine (pages 168-170). Nice job...except.. There's chevy running gear hiding under it. Very nice custom.
  17. Thanks for the web sites. George P.
  18. Could someone please let me know what the web site for identifying Plymouth parts is? It is a web site where you can insert a parts number and it tells you what the part is for. Thanks. George P.
  19. I replaced the fuel line on my P15 this week end. It's not a hard job. Most of the fuel line runs along the left frame. I used a 5/16 steel line from JEG'S, comes with fittings. The line is flexible and easy to bend. I also used closing springs for wooden screen doors for armor where the line comes under the frame. Worked great. Took me about 4 hours and some beers. George P.
  20. I'm in Whittier, California. In between L. A. County and Orange County.
  21. So sorry to hear about your loss. Our condolences go out to you and your family. George p.
  22. Anyone have air shocks on their P15? I've checked with local auto parts stores and came up with Zero parts #'s. Their references don't go back that far. I was specifically looking for Gabriel Hi Jackers. Greatful for any info. Thanks. gp
  23. Thanks for all the info. on the custom wheels. Sounds like trouble. I'll have to reconsider. Thanks again
  24. I'm considering puting custom wheels on my P15. I know there are formulas out there for determining this, but if some has already done this I would appriciate the info. What is the maximum width of custom rims that can be put on a P15, rear and front? What would the offset be? Size of tires? The thing is that, if you get the wrong size of wheels or tires and they rub, you are stuck with wheels or tires you can't use, not to mention the expense. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, gp.
  25. I don't leave home without them.gp
