  1. I took moose's advice and made my own using grade 8, 3/8" x 2.5 in. bolt and 2 bronze 3/8" flange bearings. Put in new pins and washers. Works like new. Shifting is much more precise and tight. Robert KB, I will give you the dimensions of the shoulder bolt. I still want the original part. Thanks again for everyone's help and advice.
  2. The diameter of the shoulder is 9/16". Andy could not help me without a part number. I went to a fastener supply co. They did not make one in that size. Its a hard to find special order part that will cost big. I am going to try to make my own. If that fails, I will go one size up and have it machined. Thanks for all the help everyone!
  3. I have a 52 Cambridge and broke the bolt that holds the shift linkage arm to the frame. Where can I find one?

  11. flathead 6? Yes of course. I'm sorry, but I don't follow you. Where should I stand corrected? By the way Blueskies, I am a huge fan of your car and your website. I've learned alot from your detailed records of your project. You are one of the reasons why I plan to keep this car a flathead from seeing your video clips on how well these cars run at highway speeds with an overdrive.
  12. Drivetrain is stock 230 SBC with stock exhaust manifold with split Y pipe and dual glasspacks. I plan to remove the Y and connect up to dual manifolds and dual carbs when I rebuild the engine. Here are some a/v clips.
  13. If you were to guess, How much HP/Torque do you expect to get?

  17. Just installed new driveshaft with modern u Joints. Total cost $350 from A-1 Drive Shaft Company in Baltimore MD. I dropped my old one off yesterday and got new one 2 hours ago. Runs smooth on jacks stands. Attempted to rebuild old one. Ripped new boot while trying to install. Parts for total rebuild of old shaft were going to be $160-$350.
  18. I wonder if you could run more than one power inverter. Say, one for the radio and one for accessories?
