  10. Hi there, I work for a Chrysler Dealer here in B.C. For 30 years we have had this great penetrating fluid .Part #VU00100. The other day my friend a mechanic fixed my brake cable by spraying this stuff onto the OUTSIDE of my cable. Within a few hours it had penetrated though he outer cable to the inner cable. I'm not sure that it is available in the U.S.A. but maybe any good penetrating fluid will work. I was amazed cuz mine was stuck solid. Ray Morris
  11. Hi Guys, I have a 2 ton 1950 Fargo. It has a 2 speed Timken diff. It started falling out of high range a bit and now it will not stay in high range at all. There is a bit of vaccum noise at the diff and I suspect that the diaphragm is broken inside. Does any one know of any one that can repair or replace the vaccum unit on the diff ? Cheers ! Ray Morris
  12. Does any one know the size of an original pilot house speaker ? ie spacing on the mounting holes etc ? Did they use a mounting bracket or ? I have the radio now but I'm not sure how the speaker would mount. Has any one used an after market type and if so what size etc. Cheers Ray Morris

  14. Good morning guys ! I am wondering is any one knows the actual speaker size that is used in a 1950 B2B pick up. I have located a radio for my truck but not sure which size to look for. I have 2 trucks so I am still looking for another radio. Are they actually pretty rare ? Thanks Ray Morris
  15. Thanks for checking, Ray Morris
  16. Thanks for the info guys. I do have a syncro type in my 2 ton and it seems that the 1/2 ton is non syncro. My concern is that i could not look up part #s for the non syncro in the parts listing as listd on this sight. I wonder if any one has the U.S. parts book to see what the original part # for the 50 1/2 ton 4 speed is so I can look bearings etc up in my Canadian parts book if the assy is the same. Cheers Ray Morris
  17. Wondring if there is an inside mirror assy and also an outside hinge mout mirror ? Thanks Ray
  18. Hi guys, My latest adventure is a 1/2 ton 1950 dodge. I am currently having the engine rebuilt. While i'm at it i was wondering about the tranny. It is a 4 speed model but I think it has no syncro. Is this normal. I can see a 4 speed listed in my Canadian parts book but cannot find one listed for the 1/2 ton in the on line parts book. Any clarification out there ? I like to look up original #s for bearings and seals and then cross them to jobber #s but I have not found a 1/2 ton 4 speed in the book yet Cheers ! Ray Morris
  19. Hi Guys, I just got an 802 radio for my 1950 Fargo. I have not yet checked to see if it works. When I turn the knobs (not powered on at all ) I don't seem to see one which would make a "click " like it was turned on. Should there be a "click" on on of the knobs ? Also I seem to recall that some one had installation instructions for these. Is that so ? Also can I use any speaker ? Thanks Ray Morris
  20. For the u-joints it would help if you had the vehicle serial # . Ray
  21. Hi Guys, I just thought I would pass this info along... My friend has a 1950 Dodge 1 Ton that he picked up from a member of his club that passed away. This fellow has been working on this truck for years and it looks like a new truck. My buddy is just putting the last finishing touches on it. The body is all done. The engine is rebuilt. The brakes and cylinders are new. It is really a beauty. I would buy it myself but no dough ! If any one is interested pls email me and I could arrange for some photos etc. It is in Langley British Columbia.(near the Blaine border crossing) I think he is asking 11000.00 Can $ Thanks Ray Morris
  22. Hi there, I believe the original part # was 1238415. It may also change up but I am at home now. If you want me to find out if it does supercede the I can do it at work Thursday. Napa and also Lordco stores can cross reference the OE part #s Hope this helps. Ray Morris
  23. Hi There, I have a 1950 Fargo 2 Ton with a 2 speed diff.I could tell you how to shift it if you want.Although it Does not shift toO well in this cold weather til the diff warms up a bit. They suggest leaving it in low range when not in use.I finally figured out why in this cold weather. I was in gear with the engine running and the clutch out and going no where. I looked at my drive shaft and it was moving.I guess it can get stuck half way between gears if diff oil is too cold and thick. You are right about the speedo.I had to put a one way vaccum valve in the line so the speedo works in high range cuz the speedo would go up and down when the vaccum cut in and out like your wipers do when engine vaccum changes ! Ray Morris
  24. That is a beauty !! Are those grille bars new or did you have them done ? Mine are painted but I really like the look on your truck Ray Morris
  25. Oops !! Thank you for the information. Ray Morris
