  1. Hi Dan -

    Thx for the help this morning on the choke rod + noticed you also have a 1937 Terraplane, one of my favorite cars with the waterfall grill.  In addition to my Dodge I also have a 1950 Hudson Commodore - pic attached.

    Best,

      Hey, Doug;

      Quite welcome, glad I could help.  Nice Commodore.  Took me almost ten years to find that Terraplane - price vs. condition being what drew that search out.  I'm kind of partial to Hudsons, If we were to get another classic car, we would be looking for one in the 40's -50's era.  That's a ways off right now, though.

  2. Thanks Dan, much appreciated! Should be able to get the car going today?
  3. Hi Everybody - I have a 1946 Dodge D24 with fluid drive and need to make up the linkage rod from the Sisson automatic choke to the carb. Carb is a Stromberg BXVD-3. Would appreciate it if somebody could let me know the length of theirs or the spec if you know it. Thanks, Doug
  4. Hi Everybody! My first post?. I have a 1946 Dodge D24 with fluid drive and need to make up the linkage rod from the Sisson automatic choke to the carb. From the chart provided by _shel_ny it looks like the correct length is 7 7/8", the only entry for 1946, tho this is off to the right of the red box and I'm not sure what the header is for the column I'm looking at. Made up one of these and when I adjust the lever on the Sisson arm it ends up close to horizontal as opposed to the approx 45 degree angle in the pic provided by chrysler1941 so I may be too long. Carb is a Stromberg BXVD-3. Does anyone have one they can measure or know the correct spec - any help would be appreciated! Doug
