Thanks for your replies, i will see if they can sell just the bracket . I live in sweden and the master cylinder will add weight and size and make the shipping expensive.Usps has rised their charges on international postage during the last two or three years ,when i started restoring 6 years ago it was fairly cheap to get stuff shipped over here. Thanks Anders

Thanks for your answers ,but it does not answer my question .Can anyone tell if i can mate this od with my transmission .Is the mainshaft the same as my -47 FD transmission . Anders
-
No no more info but it looks like there is a lever on the side ,is this manually operatd or is something missing? Anders

Found this transmission for sale in Sweden where i live. The seller states it is a mopar transmission but dont know for what car or year .The gears are shot as the picture tells but is the OD worth a try ,could it be used together with a dodge FD transmission?. I have a 47 d 24 and a 3,55 cherokee rear and feels that i could use an extra gear.If anyone can tell what kind of OD this is and if it is worth 200 USD ,which is the asked price it will be greatly apreciated. Thanks Anders

Thaks for the tip Casper ,I just bought the trim and now i just need the fasteners.I am eclosing a picture of my car as well with my friends old dad who likes to ride these old cars. Anders

Hello again and thanks for the help. I agree about the chewed up mouldings, i was interested in a rear bumper and the seller told me it was in great shape and he wanted 250 USD.He sent me pictures of a bumper that had been stored outside and had crome pittings that he told me looked good because the bolts held the pitting i place the bumper was full of dirt and looked like sh.t.I told him it has to be recromed and he changed the price to only 160 USD ,no way i was going to buy that bumper and ship it to sweden ,i rather fix my existing bumper and paint it and wait until i find a good one.I am not suprized if a guy takes a chance selling something he cant use. Anders

Thanks for the input ,I have been looking at the trim on ebay but the ones that the guy states is for dodge does not have the same shape as mine and i guess they are for a plymouth, the others are for a desoto so no luck here. Anders

I am finishing the asembly of my -47 dodge club coupe and are trying to put the cowl trim pieces on but as my car came with two cut of swan neck mirrors ! i do not know how the trim ataches to the body so i need the fasteners.I am also missing the right piece so if anyone has one for sale i am intrested in buying. I do also need new wiper blades ,where can you get those. As i live in sweden the market for these parts are limited. Anders

Hello again I whent to the plumber and bought a bunch of different fittings and made an adapter .The tempgauge works so i guess problem solved. Thanks for your input Anders
-
Thanks again but it still dont solve my problem ,i know the bulb has to be in contact with the coolant and i am going to make the adapter that way.I still need the tread size in the newer heads ,as i live in sweden we are metric and do use pipe threads in inch .It would be much easier if someone could tell me the size of threads i have to make so i can find dies or cut the threads in a lathe. Anders
-
Thanks for your answer but it does not solve my problem,The bulb is about the same size as the treads in the head so i need to fabricate an adapter that sticks out a little or i will have to re thread the head, wich will need the head to come off.At this point i do not want to remove the head as there is nothing wrong with the engine .I need to know the tread sizes.
-
Hello Ihave an engine from -56 in my -47 Dodge and i need an adapter to make the temp gauge sending unit fit in the head. The newer engines had an electric tempgauge ,and had a smaller tread in the head. Can anyone tell me the tread size in the newer heads, i have measured the treads and found it is 18 tpi taperd tread could it be a pipe tread or NPT ? I do allso need to know the tread of the nut that holds the bulb in place.Any help is greatly appreciated. Anders

I will get the bumper on during this comming week and take a new picture for judgement. Anders

Took the old clunker out for a little testrun today ,i guess the suspension got settled and it looks a little bit lower but in my opinion too high. Anders
-
Thank you, this was the answer i wanted,I agree the car need to come closer to the ground. These wheels is about the same height as the stock steel rims which i allso have .I like the look of the car whith these wheels. As no one has answerd my question about springs that will make the car lower i guess that i have to take a trip to the junkyard and see what i can find that can be used. Anders
-
Yes the body has been off the frame and i have changed the rear end to a cherokee 3,55.The rear does not bother me but i do defenitly not like the height of the front.I will put everything together and take it out for a testdrive and see if something changes. The wheels are 235/55/17. Anders
-
Thanks for your input i will check the location of the springs in the lower arms other than that i really dont know what to look at.Is there springs from a modern vehichle you can use to make it lower,i have heard of ford aerostar but does it make it lower. Anders
-
Thanks for your reply i have tried this and it does not make a big difference i have looked in my shop manual and ca not see that anythimg is wrong. The wheels are leaning inwards at the top so the wheel angles look really wrong.Even if i stand on the bumper the car looks funny. Anders
-
Yes that is why i am concerned, what can be wrong as the engine and transmission is in the car Any sugestions or clues are greatly appreciated. Anders

I have been working on my -47 dodge for 6 years and are slowly puttin it back together.I think it is looking too high,I have had everything in the front end apart and sandblasted and painted.I wonder if i had done something wrong when i asembled the front end ,i have the old springs and the same hardware that was used from the factory. The car has been lifted on a hoist and has not been driven ,will it be lower when it gets out on the road and the front end gets settled. What kind of springs can be used to get it lower.

Thanks for your replys i live in sweden and we have fairly good roads ,but i see the point in using anti squeak and will do so.I think i can get material that are used to make tarps and such stuff that are used for wheather protection on trucks, and i think that it can work for this purpose.Whats your opinion? Regards Anders
