Rodney Bullock Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 Chet, that car looks like you could hit the curcuit as a stock car driver from the 40's and 50's have you ever seen "greased lighting" there cars looked exactly like that, I bet that was fun driving that car like that. Your dash work looks great, I have never had wood graining however that looks fine. The way you are restoring your car makes it progress seem very well planned. must of the time folks finish a car and it doesen't run well for a while however if you have it running and driving and stoping even before the interior and dash are in you ae way ahead of the game. The weather is nice here ain't it, it's almost unfair! Way to go chet! Quote
Guest Tavis Miller Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 monday was a great day here in Delaware! i did some work on the 47. Quote
Guest Tavis Miller Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 dang it, i hit the enter button and it posted my thread when i didnt want it to. Chester, I see that you have your dash out. (looks great!) I'm currently doing my interior. I'm looking at the dash and I was trying to vision in my head how it comes out. It looks like theres two bolts that hold it on the bottom but i dont see anything else. However I haven't even started to take it apart yet so i'm not sure if theres bolts behind the gauges. well, hopefully we'll get a few more nice days in the winter here in the mid-atlantic area. Take care Quote

Take care Tavis, I have a house on the Eastern Shore in Lincoln, are you anywhere near Lincoln, Milford, or Dover.? PS taking out the dash can be a pain especially with all the wires. Mechanically it is the two side screws and the screws under the windshield garnish. I recommend removing the Radio first. This way you can also remove the center support. Don’t forget about the steering wheel support. Chet… Quote

55 Fargo Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Dennis Vegas and snow just don't add up somehow. I know it's not tropical in Las Vegas, but didn't think it often got below freezing let alone have snow accumulate on the ground, hey it looks like Winnipeg in October when they get there first snow of the year...........Fred Quote
