1940plymouth Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 Yes, it is the Hemmings "Classic Car" In my mind the best monthly old car magazine published. Only American cars. Quote
Allan Faust Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Well, since I've never seen it, I just subscribed.... going to have a look. Allan Quote

Rodney Bullock Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Allan you are going to love that mag, they feature cars that are driver's and are not 100 point cars. Quote
1940plymouth Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Allen, like Rodney mentioned, you surely will enjoy it. Each month has a section on someone's "Driveable Dream" My favorite part of the great magazine. About a year ago there was an article on a 1937 Plymouth that was saved from a junk yard several years ago, work done on her, but a neat "Driveable Dream" Same type of articles on old Chevies and Fords, not to mention a Stanley Steamer and other older makes. BobT-47P15 Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 In the current issue, there's an article about a 57 Chevy 150 series....the very bottom of the line. A nice old "grandma bought it new" car. Nice mag. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Yes' date=' it is the Hemmings "Classic Car" In my mind the best monthly old car magazine published. Only American cars.[/quote']I agree 100%. Hemmings Classic Car is the best monthly there is. Great drive reports and car introductions. All vintages from 1900 up to late seventies. Great editors, I especially like the columns by Jim Richardson (inside back cover) and Richard Lentinello (EiC). "Driveable Dream" feature is the most enjoyable idea in the history of the motor press -IMHO. Quote
Allan Faust Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 I love great car mags, but often, I can't get them up here... quite often its something to find out that they exist.... I enjoy the how to mags like auto restorer and skinned knuckles.... now officially have all auto restorers... looking for more skinned knuckles.... specially the real early years. Allan Quote
PatS.... Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Looks like some nice cars and a nice event. Thanks for the pics. The tail-lights on the purple wagon look like they grew there..can't place the original home for them though...are they Cadillac units? Quote
Niel Hoback Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Those taillights look to be from an 80's Oldsmobile. Just a guess. Quote
