captden29 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 ebay has a set of fender skirts that fit a 1953 chrysler. they are metal and from a company called genuine fender skirts. is this an old company no longer in business? my real question is will they also fit a 54 chrysler as well? the seller was not sure. i think the rear area is the same fore both years but maybe someone could verify that. thanks, dennis Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Here is a 54 Chrysler. And here is a 53 model..... Look like the same from here. Would think skirts should work. Dennis, does your 54 have the same trim in front of the opening as the blue car pictured? Would that interfere with the skirts??? Quote
captden29 Posted December 15, 2006 Author Report Posted December 15, 2006 bob, good detective work. mine has the stone shield like the blue car so the 53 skirts will not fit properly. i think that blue 54 convertible is the same one i have seen on a magazine cover that i have at home. only about 730 of them were made, not many still around, especially in that condition. i was once told there are only 3 known to still exist. my 54 windsor convertible had a production run of 500 and i have only seen one other like it. i want wire wheels and fender skirts, but no luck finding any used ones:eek: at reasonable prices. thanks for the help. dennis Quote
48mirage Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 According to the parts book the fenders are the same for '53 and '54. Right 1372 493, left 1372 494. Quote
