You might think about keeping those parts, especially the drums, bearings etc. When I first made the conversion on my coupe I planned to sell all that stuff too. After all, once you have disc brakes you won't want to switch back.

However, if you decide to sell your truck sometime down the road for some reason, those parts could make your truck more appealing to the purest. He may want to convert the truck back to ALL original. If you have the parts to do that with, it makes it more appealing for him to buy it at the price you're asking. I don't plan on selling my coupe as you may not plan on selling your truck. But........as the old saying goes, "Never say Never." If our vehicle isn't sold in our lifetime, our wife or kids may be selling it after we croak.:)

I just put the stuff in a box and labeled it, then stuck the boxes in the shed.

I am putting the Akers disc kit up front and want to know if anyone needs any parts/pieces from my old drum assemblies after I get everything put togehter and working?

Shane

I'm hanging on to my stuff as well, mostly thinking about future sales if someone wants to make it original. However, at sometime in the future I will need to reshoe the rear brakes and if they want a core in return, I'll have some.

Also make a note of my brake conversion and either move your shocks or mount the calipers towards the rear.
