Jim Yergin Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Chet, Nice article and picture in the current Plymouth Bulletin. I remember when you posted it. Congratulations. Jim Yergin Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Tks Jim, How is the motor coming? I believe you received an answer to your bracket question. I received the registration information for the Sully Show in the mail the other day. Do you think you will be bringing the woody to Sully and if so what class would you enter. There isn’t a Plymouth class but there is “all Chryslers to 1974” I was in the “cars other then Ford to 1930” class last year but if you and Rodney are entering the Chrysler to 74 group so will I this way we could hang out. Maybe next year for my 48. Just a thought, Chet… Quote
Jim Yergin Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Chet, Still not quite sure on the bracket. How can something so seemingly simple take so much effort? Will be close on Sully. If I do make it I will have my car in the Woodie area. It is a non-judged location set aside by our local National Woodie Club Chapter. In any event I am looking forward to catching up with you and Rodney and anyone else from the forum who can make it. Jim Yergin Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Does the Sully event require pre registration? Is there a non judging area to park? I am tenetatively planning to come but I dont want to be judged. What I was trying to say is I dont want my car to be judged:rolleyes: Quote
Jim Yergin Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Don, I don't have the registration material and it does not appear on the whttp://www.gwcmodela.com/index.htmeb site. Maybe Chet or Rodney have that info in their material. I do not think you have to have your car judged. I think I remember signs on car windshields that said "Do Not Judge." I just know that when we were alloted our woodie space we were told that the cars would not be judged and that if any of our members wanted their woodies judged they would have to register for a judged location. What I was trying to say is I dont want my car to be judged:rolleyes: Don, You can pre-register and you don’t have to have your car judged. I could write to Bill Benedict and see if we could both go onto the same field. You would probably be in Class 24 (Other Vehicles 1940 – 1948). Last year I was in Class 22, Other vehicles thru 1931. Maybe we could both go into Class 21 (Chrysler thru 1974). They are very accommodating. Last year I guy showed up with a 1909 Cadillac and was put with us in the Class 22. He wanted to be with the Cadillac’s so he moved to the field for Class 36 (Cadillac thru 1974) If Rodney brings his Plymouth maybe we could all hang together. I think the key is giving them a heads-up on what we want to do. You can still pre-register as late as June 12th though I would do this much earlier to ensure a good spot. I think they would get a kick out of you driving all the way up from Nashville. Pretty low keyed bunch, Just a thought. PS I will scan the application form and send it to you via email. You can also register at the gate but it is better to pre-register in that they already have a spot for you to go to, so no waiting around. Chet… Quote
Jim Yergin Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 Chet, If it is not too much trouble, when you email the form to Don, would you email it to me too? Thanks. Jim Yergin Quote
Don Coatney Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Chet; Scan it and send it. The fax you sent is not readable as it is way too small. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Will do it tonight, Jim I'll send it to you also. Chet... Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Don, they do have a no Judge sign. There are some folks that just want to be on the field. The first time I saw Jim at the show I had the Plymouth however that time I was not judged, last year I drove the Studebaker and wanted to be judged. This year because I want to be with the mopars I will preregister, That way we will all be together because I am driving the Plymouth and that catagory goes up to 1974. JIm has the woodie so he will be with that catagory, those wagons are very impressive all together. This show is very organized and uniformed that way you get to see all the makes and models and years. Quote
