stevenelle Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Oil pump diagrams (218) indicate a gasket just under the 5 sided plate. I can't seem to find a gasket like this in the gasket set. There is one that looks close, made of rubber (not much bigger than a rubber band). The pump (which was working fine) had no remnants of any gasket material and it looks like the plate was bolted right directly in contact with the rotor housing. Can anyone provide guidance on gasket placement and type of gasket? Thanks Quote
grey beard Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Mine used a square "O" ring just inside the cover. The old one wasn't leakng, but it surely was hard. Found a new one in my engine gasket kit from Terrell Machine. LOL:) Quote
