Driving around town this afternoon (Sun) and found in a driveway a cream and green 1954 Chevy Belair two door sedan for sale. Called about it and

was told the owner died and widow is selling. Interior re-done with beige

vinyl (looks nice), a couple cracked windows, older chrome mag wheels, may

be converted to 12 v as there is a radio/casette player under the dash.

Asking price is $7500. Not beat up or rusty. Just putting this in in case

anyone would like a car of this type. They don't appear for sale around here

much nowadays.

My how prices have changed! In the early seventies, one of my college professors bought a farm with a complete and intact '54 Chevy coupe in the barn (a former Rochester Telephone Company car, with the fleet number on the trunk) and told me I could have it for free! Needless to say, I didn't take it....
