Just a reminder to periodically check your carburetors to make sure the nuts haven't worked loose. The past week or two I was hearing a whistle or squeal at a certain low rpm. Nothing huge but I did notice a new noise. Yesterday I was working on my fuel lines and found the rear carb had loosened up to where you could wiggle it by hand. That's the second time it's done that. This time I snugged up all the nuts and applied some green loctite. The little whistle seems to be gone...

Happens all the time. I'm restoring a '66 Mustang 6 cylinder. The engine was done a few years ago and actually sat for most of that time. When getting ready to light her up I noticed the carb moving around while idleing. Those nasty base nuts had loosened up. My '63 Chevy loosens up about every year or so. Just consider them maintanance items.
