Hi all. I need to replace my wheel cylinders on the front of my b1d and the question I have is the old ones are marked left and right, but in the roberts catalog they just say front or rear. Does this matter? Also by looking back at previous threads someone mentioned Kanter as a place to get them ,but it does'nt mention that they are for trucks. The listing just says dodge. It does not say if its for a car or truck. Also why I got you all here my tie rod is bent three ways to Sunday, and I was wondering if they can be straightened and if not where could I buy a new one. Thanks.

if you order from robert's, specify left or right. they do supply the correct wheel cylinders.

actually, in my robert's catalog, it doesn't even list them as front or rear. it just gives the years. anyway, i had no problem getting the correct one.

I think the reason is that this is a stepped cylinder (2 different size pistons on each side). The R or L designation is to make sure tha the proper sized piston is facing the correct direction. Can't remember which is which. Mike

smaller to the front. larger to the rear. ;)
