John Nickell Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I think a while back I read a post on here about bad car covers. It said certain covers will scratch a car. I was just wondering if this was the forum that I read it on or not and if so what companies are bad and what companies are good. Thanks John Nickell Quote
Charles Furman Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I have purchased three from California Car Covers (www.calcarcover.com). They are great and I have had no scratch problems. Their catalogue explains all the choices available in car covers. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 There are some cheaper car coveres offered on ebay on an ongoing basis. Not sure about their quality. Years ago I had a nice flannel lined cover, may have been the California brand. Seemed good and had no problems with scratching. I currently have a cheapie sort of treated material - maybe a form of a plastic - from WalMart. Bought it to use only on rare occasions, like driving the old car out of town and maybe the weather that night would be iffy. Have had it probably 5 or 6 years and never needed it yet. The car normally stays in the garage. Quote
John Nickell Posted November 30, 2006 Author Report Posted November 30, 2006 Thanks, The cover is actually for my '67 Camaro which has been in the garage but is being booted for my dads 48 D-24. Quote
