I think a while back I read a post on here about bad car covers. It said certain covers will scratch a car. I was just wondering if this was the forum that I read it on or not and if so what companies are bad and what companies are good. Thanks

There are some cheaper car coveres offered on ebay on an ongoing basis. Not sure about their quality. Years ago I had a nice flannel lined cover, may have been the California brand. Seemed good and had no problems with scratching.

I currently have a cheapie sort of treated material - maybe a form of a plastic - from WalMart. Bought it to use only on rare occasions, like driving the old car out of town and maybe the weather that night would be iffy. Have had it probably 5 or 6 years and never needed it yet. The car normally stays in the garage.
