Hey Darin, 20s 30s overnight, wow would love to have that as an absolute low, it is currently -18 in my location, with the windchill its -40, overnight lows expected for the next few nights at least down to -25 to -30 farenheit, with a wind it could easily be in the -45 range, hopefully this will be our only major deep freeze this winter. This one may push down to Bob Ts and Knighthawks area, but of course if the get down to 10 or even 0 that would be cold for them. Turned the heat off in my insulated garage last night, it went down to 22 in there, but that is almost a 40 degree difference than outside, insulation makes a big difference......................Fred

Ooooh...that's too cold for me. Our blood out here in California is thinner than yours. In that case, I would want two heaters.

'You should try ebay at your prices 150 for a heater 200 for a incorrect radio I do think you will get much business here.

Or maybe list them in the parts for sale section with a photo attached to help it sell at that price.'

First off, I really have no idea how much this stuff is worth, that is why I said to make an offer! and let me know if you are interested! As for the radio, it is not an 'incorrect' radio, folks on here have already said that they have one like it, it is a Motorola 505 radio, so, it is not an 'incorrect' radio, plus it is from a 1948 Dodge! and I am not here for 'buisness' either, I had some extra Dodge stuff that I can't use so, I thought someone might be interested, I am open to trades to, for specific parts for my '41. As for the photos, I have not figured out how to post them, and if someone is serious and wants something I can e-mail them pics.

I believe the reason Oldmopar said you have an "incorrect radio" is because the radios that came in the 46-48 Mopar's were either an 802 or 602 Motorola radio. They are all one bulky unit that hangs in the dash. You may have a correct looking radio head though to go with the 505 radio you have. Even Firestone and others made box type radios like yours, with the correct looking radio head to go with it. Those were all aftermarket radios though and not original equipment for the 46-48 cars. That could also explain why that radio was in there when it came into your family 53 years ago. Someone put an aftermarket or older Mopar radio in it with the correct looking radio head. There are a lot of other Mopar's of the same year with those types of radios in them from the day someone bought the car, but they are not original equipment like the 802 or 602 for those years. What's your radio worth? Well...........like all other parts for the car, it's worth what someone is willing to pay and what you're willing to sell it for. Other than that, I have no idea.

The same applies to the heater. Off hand I forgot the model numbers for the heater. But.........for the original Mopar heater model numbers, you can find that in the reference section of this site. As for value, it's like I mentioned for the radio.

I will say that you can buy original radios and heaters for as little as $10 at swap meets. However, for those prices they also need to be restored, unless you happen to get real lucky. So......the price goes up according to condition as I'm sure you're aware of. My guess is, if your two items mentioned is in near perfect condition and working, they probably are worth what you're asking, or at least close to it to someone.
