I get a lot of junk mail (spam) just like everyone else does. I don't open it, but do look at the source so I can add the site and address they come from to the block list.

Got a new one today form American Automotive. I've never heard of the web site and I never surf the web. Got two from them though. One, advertising their Tire Changer & Wheel Balancer, and the other advertising their lifts. As mentioned, I don't open the email but I can see what it says in the source page. Anyone else get something from them? The only other site I was at earlier this evening was Mooneyes. They could have captured the email address I guess when I was there.

P.S. Don't think they mined my email address from the forum though. That's because it came through on a different address than I use here, plus you can't send email to me from the profile.

I get more then my share of spam but it gets treated like junk mail at the house never gets opened. I use yahoo and basically when you mark a message as spam the user gets blocked next time they try to send also most of it is filtered to a bulk folder that most times I just empty.

I use the Thunderbird email program. It works sort of like your Yahoo email does. Once I mark something as junk, it will automatically send it to the junk mail box next time it comes in. Then you can just delete the whole batch of junk mail that came in. I stopped deleting some of it though so I could put up blocks through the web site to keep the junk from coming in. I have cut the junk down by about 50 or 60% in the past couple of weeks by doing that. Even so, what does come in is still a pain because you have to wait for them to download. I don't do Yahoo. Don't care for it.

Download is not a problem as I am on cable only option as I do not have a phone line canceled it becaunse 99% of my phone calls were trying to sell me something or to do a survey. Tried do not call list it helped but just not worth it. Everyone has a cell phone so not a loss and save about $40.00 per month on the phone bill.
