Woody Branham Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 This picture is like the one on my 1950 DeSoto. The P11 is different, there is a piston stop lock ring that holds everything inside. That came off easily. Under that is the piston washer. It is that washer that won't come out. Quote
Woody Branham Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 After soaking it several times with PB Blaster and tapping it with a hammer the washer came loose. Had to keep soaking and abeating it to get the rest of it out. The inside feals rough in spots. Will try honong it out some. Quote
50PlymouthSled Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 It's amazing what a hammer and some grease will do. With some time of course. Hahaha. Fixes a lot problems. Quote
Woody Branham Posted December 12, 2007 Author Report Posted December 12, 2007 After I finish honing, can the M/C be bench tested for leaking by putting pressure on the rod??? Anyone know the cost of having one sleeved if necessary???? Quote
