Putting a rebuild kit in a M/C on my P11. My book says after the lock ring is removed, pull out the piston stop washer and piston. I cant get the washer off. Is there a trick to this???????

What part are you talking about?

This picture is like the one on my 1950 DeSoto. The P11 is different, there is a piston stop lock ring that holds everything inside. That came off easily. Under that is the piston washer. It is that washer that won't come out.

After soaking it several times with PB Blaster and tapping it with a hammer the washer came loose. Had to keep soaking and abeating it to get the rest of it out. The inside feals rough in spots. Will try honong it out some.
