Hi All: Long time mopar truck owner (1940 Ply PU x2, 1947 Dodge PU x1).

I purchased a kit of cowl lamps to add to one of my 1940 Ply PU trucks. Nice kit... put came all in pieces.

Does anyone have a exploded view of how all these pieces go together, including what those wire spring clips do (how they install). Also that V bracket behind the reflector... how does that hold the reflector / lens / bezel assembly in the housing ?  The vendor of the kit has no diagram... just sells the kit and you are on your own.

Thanks so much !!

I just looked in my parts book and there is no diagram for the cowl lights .  Those spring clips that hold the lens in place have a high nub in the center , that nub goes against the inside lip of the bezel . The two long arms of the spring clip go against the glass lens . They don't look like they would work , but they do . The V bracket catches the edges of the bezel and there is a long screw that goes in the rear of the light to pull it all tight .  You 1947 Dodge truck would have come with cowl lights , can you examine one of those ?
